The Panthers and the
Huskies locked up in an old fashioned slobber
knocker Friday night in the Panther Pit.
Franklin broke a 7-7 tie midway through the 4th
quarter to seal the win 13-7. Both teams
scored touchdowns in the First quarter and the score
remained tied until Blaine Clark would cap a time
consuming drive with 7:29 left to go in the game
with a 7-yard Touchdown run. Franklin got a
huge effort from the Defense as they came up with
big plays time and time again.
Franklin moves on to face
the #3 seeded Asheville Cougars next Friday night in
Asheville. Asheville beat #14 seed West
Iredell 46-8.
Game Notes:
Blaine Clark
had 127 yards on 37 carries. His
totals for the season are 1518 yards on 321
carries. His career total now stands at 3,297
yards. He is 122 yards away from breaking the
all time record at FHS.
Since 2000, The Panthers
have won 8 and lost just 2 games in the first round
of the playoffs.
