Panthers wrap up 2007
regular season
with a convincing win over Enka
Jets There was some speculation that
the Panthers would come out flat after last weeks emotional
win over State ranked Asheville, but there were no signs of
post-upset letdown by the Panthers as they handled Enka
28-7.
Senior RB Josh Young rushed for
two touchdowns and 96 yards on 15 carries to lead Franklin
(6-5, 3-3 Mountain Athletic 3-A Conference), while Sophomore
Blaine Clark added 180 rushing yards on 26 carries. QB
Christian Vose completed 3 passes for 39-yards and a
touchdown. Jason Erxleben caught two passes for 31
yards and a touchdown. Andrew Raby added two PAT
kicks. Jake Stamey returned a fumble 30-yards to round
out the Franklin scoring (Josh Young PAT run)
For Enka (3-8, 1-5), Adam King completed 6-of-18 passes
for 110 yards and a touchdown strike to Hunter Bennett.
