JV
Panthers wrap up 2007 season with a convincing win over
Rosman.
The Franklin JV Panthers wrapped up a successful 2007 season
with a 35-0 win over the Rosman Tigers in the Panther
Pit. The Panthers scored on their first three
offensive plays and held the Tigers scoreless the rest of
the way to take the win.
Rosman took the opening kickoff and Franklin defense held
them to three and out. On fourth down, Aaron Wallace
blocked a Rosman punt. Franklin took over on the
Rosman 33 and Wallace took a pitch over the left side
33-yards for the score (PAT failed). Franklin held
Rosman on downs and Parrish Young blocked the Rosman punt to
give the Panthers great field possession at the Rosman
23-yard line. Nathan Raby took a direct snap over the
left side 23-yards for the second Panther score (PAT
Stanfield). After another Defensive stop, Parrish
Young took a handoff up the middle for another Panther score
(PAT Stanfield). After another defensive stop, Jacob
Young would score (Ramsey PAT Failed) to put Franklin up
26-0. Franklin would get one more touchdown before
halftime on a Skylar Mercer Touchdown run (Ramsey PAT
Blocked) for a 32-0 lead.
Franklin would add a second half field goal to round out the
scoring. Franklin
finished the season with a 7-1 record and showed lots of
promise for the future of the Panther football
program. Congratulations to coach Ryan Raby and his
staff for the successful year. Game
