With the 2007 season officially underway, the Franklin Panthers will host a long time opponent in the Murphy Bulldogs.  This game will be the 73rd recorded match up between the two teams.  Murphy has an overall advantage in the series 41-30 with 1 tie, but Franklin has won the past five games.  Both teams are coming into the game with unblemished records at 1-0.  Franklin held off Hayesville 35-16 last week and Murphy was able to outlast Mitchell 31-28. In last years game, Franklin beat the Dogs 50-6 in Murphy.   

     Kickoff time is at 7:30.  

     If you cannot make the game, tune into 96.7 WNCC to hear George Young and Byron McClure bring you the live play by play action.  The pre-game show will start around 6:00pm.
