According to Google Maps the trip is
about 205 miles and should take about 3 hours and 30 min.
From Franklin, Take 441 North to Us
74 to I-40 East. Stay on I-40 until you come to exit
123A towards Lincolnton. Take 321 South for 33 miles
and then in Gastonia, take the exit for I-85North.
Stay on I-85 for until you get to exit 30, take I 485
South. Stay on I 485 until you come to exit 51 B in
Matthews. That will put you on 74 West. The
First intersection on 74 W will be HWY 51 South. Turn
left onto 51 South for approx 4 miles and then Turn Rt on
Sardis Road. School is approx 3 miles on the Rt on
Sardis Rd.

Schedule is released
Coach Josh Brooks has
released the 2011 FHS Varsity Summer schedule.

here. The
file is in Microsoft Excel format and
Ben Carrion met with a member of the
Appalachian State football staff on Thursday
afternoon (1/27/2011) at Franklin High School. At
the conclusion of the meeting Ben decided to attend
Appalachian State University and play football. Ben
plans on majoring in Athletic Training. Ben is a
Senior and was a 3 year starter on the varsity
football. He is also a member of the varsity
basketball team and the mens track team.
Four Named ALL
AAC:
Four members of the 2010 Panther Football
team were named to the All AAC Squad.
Seniors Ben Carrion, Dewayne Isaacs, and Kaleb
Shepherd along with Junior Thomas Evans. Juniors Jacob and
Parrish Young were named honorable mention.
The rules of the Conference allow for a
member for each Conference win thus we only
received 4 selections because we only
won 4 conference games.
DeWayne Isaacs is the

DeWayne Isaacs
is atop the all-time
career tackles list. Isaacs, who has 283
tackles credited to him during his career, now
holds the all time record. The previous record
was 268 held by former Panthers Josh Young
(class of 2008) and Michael Carson (class
of 2007).

6/10/2011 - FHS Head Football coach Josh Brooks called the
2011 Youth Football camp a huge success. Brooks said
"it was a great camp, the kids listened and responded well
and most of the kids showed signs of improvement over the
three day period". Brooks planned the camp for the
kids to learn Football fundamentals and terminology that
will prepare them for youth season this fall. The
three day camp wrapped up Thursday night on the upper
practice field. The camp was attended by 87 kids and
Brooks said "they all gave a great effort" .

Bryson - Former FHS Panther, Tennessee Vol , Detroit Lions,
Buffalo Bills Running Back will be the special guest at the
2011 FHS Panther Summer Camp.
The 2011 FHS youth Panther Football
Camp will be held June 7, 8, 9th on the upper practice
field. The camp time will be 5:30 to 8:00 pm each
night. Special camp guest will be former Franklin
Panther, Tennessee Volunteer, and NFL running back
Shawn Bryson. Cost will be $40.00 and campers will
receive a camp t-shirt. Camp application can be
downloaded
here and registration forms
may be returned to Coach Matt Bradley at MMS, Coach Kevin
Sinden @ Smoky Mtn. Chevrolet, or the Front office @ FHS.
Forms will also be received on the first day of camp (see
attached registration form).
