Alumni Update: Bryson wraps up eighth season in NFL

 Former Franklin High football standout Shawn Bryson finished his eighth year in the National Football League this past weekend when his Detroit Lions shocked the Dallas Cowboys, 39-31.  Bryson was inactive for the game due to a leg injury suffered in the fifth game of the season.  Before his injury, Bryson had rushed for two yards on one carry and caught eight passes for 98 yards and a touchdown.

 Bryson’s career statistics included 2,144 yards rushing on 528 attempts with six touchdowns and 185 receptions for 1,383 yards and three touchdowns.

 Bryson has two years left on his contract with Lions.
