Alumni Update: Josh Durm (10/25/06)

Former Franklin High football standout Josh Durm finished up his first season as a member of the Brevard College Tornado football team.  BC, which resurrected their football team after 56 years, finished the season with two straight wins and a 2-6 record.

Durm, a sophomore defense back, was second on the team with 33 total tackles (25 solo, 16 assists) despite playing in only six games.  Durm also picked up 2.5 tackles-for-loss, three pass break-ups and returned a fumble 52 yards.

Durm’s 2,851 career rushing yards at Franklin from 2000-2002 rank third all-time behind Alex Croteau 3,419 and Keith Brooks 2,860.  On defense, Durm tallied 10 career interceptions and racked up 168 tackles to help lead the Panthers to a 26-9 record.
